Richard Eastman: President
Rick has more than 37 years of construction experience, including 30 years in New York State. He was educated in the State of Vermont and attended SUNY Delhi and SUNY Oneonta studying business management and administration. Rick is actively involved in all aspects of the construction projects, including marketing, preparing estimates, organizing labor force between all projects, buyout materials, communication with architects and owners, and job meetings and all public relations.
Rick is an active member in the following groups: The Associated Builders & Contractors of America, Member of The Associated General Contractors of New York State, The Associated General Contractors of America, member of the NFIB Otsego Council, Otsego County Chamber of Commerce, National Write Your Congressman,
Past Junior League Baseball Manager, Past Board member of the Building Industry Employers of New York State Past President of the Tri-County Builders Association, Past Board Member of the AO Fox Memorial Hospital, Past Little League Manager and Past Oneonta Soccer Club, Soccer Coach.
Michelle Eastman: Chief Financial Officer
Michelle prepares payroll, accounts payables, accounts receivables, costing cash flow projections, financing for equipment and all acquisitions. She is responsible for all financial activities for the current and future needs of the company. She also works closely with the bonding and insurance Companies. Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from the State University at Oneonta.
Michelle is an Associate Member of the National Society of Public Accountants, active member of National Write Your Congressman, Past Board President of the Oneonta YMCA, Member of the City of Oneonta Steering Committee, Member of St. Mary’s Church, Past Board Member of Main Street Oneonta Committee, Past member of City of Oneonta Parks & Recreation Committee, Current member of the Oneonta City Planning Commission, Past PTO member Center Street School, Past Board member of SUCO Children Center, Past member Oneonta Middle School PTO, Past member Dollars for Scholars.
Gavin McMillan: Vice President
Gavin’s core duties are preparing estimates, budgets, buyout of materials, subcontract control, attending job meetings, project management, and coordination with onsite supervision. Gavin holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Clarkson University. Gavin is a member of Sidney Community Foundation and is an active coach for the Sidney Little League Baseball, basketball, and soccer.
Fred Ploutz: Manager of Safety and Compliance.
Fred has over 20 years of combined safety experience in manufacturing, healthcare construction and healthcare operations. His core duties include policy development, training, risk analysis, inspections, prevention programs, and federal, state, and local compliance. Fred was educated at SUNY Empire State College in business, management, and economics and also holds project management certificates from Villanova University. Fred’s professional continuing education includes EPA Lead Paint renovator, NFPA Life Safety 101 for Business Occupancies, Emergency Management Certificates from FEMA in IS100, IS200, IS700, IC800, NIMS, HICS and NYS Real Estate License.
Fred is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering, Region III College Basketball Officials, Eastern College Athletic Conference, International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, and National Association of Sports Officials.
Joe Way: Project Manager/ Estimator:
Joe brings experience as a project engineer for nearly two years for large heavy highway projects where he worked on multiple civil based projects totaling approximately $30 Million, all being built concurrently. As a construction manager for nearly two years at a construction company in central NY, he has experience in estimating, project management and supervision of the construction activities. Joe worked for a Waste Water Engineering firm for ten years serving the entire State of New York. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and an A.A.S in civil engineering technology from the State University of New York at Canton.
James Komenda: Project Superintendent:
Organizes labor force, orders materials, schedules deliveries, communicates and schedules with the owners, architects and subcontractors. He has 26 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction. Jamie is a current member of the Town of Franklin Planning Board and Unatego Touchdown Club, and a past coach of Pee Wee Football, Basketball and Baseball.
William Christiance: Project Superintendent:
Organizes labor force, orders materials, schedules deliveries, communicates and schedules with the owners, architects and subcontractors, and supervises field personnel. Bill has 25years of experience in the commercial and industrial construction and is a member of the Fresh Air Program.
William Komenda: Project Superintendent:
Organizes labor force, orders materials, schedules deliveries, communicates and schedules with the owners, architects and subcontractors, and supervises field personnel. Bill has 20 years of experience in the commercial and industrial construction, and is a graduate of Mohawk Community College. He is a member of the Otego Volunteer Fire Department, Unatego Touchdown Club, and Otego Little League.
Thomas Ehrhart: Project Superintendent:
Organizes labor force, orders materials, schedules deliveries, communicates and schedules with the owners, architects and subcontractors and supervises field personnel. Tom has 22 years of experience in the commercial and industrial construction and is a member of the Jefferson Fire Department.
